Escape rooms are actually adventure games wherein the players will solve series of riddles and puzzles utilizing clues in order to accomplish the room's secret plot. A lot of people have desired to experience this game thinking that they could outwit the business owner or the riddle maker. However, most of these people realized that the game requires team work because if there is no team work, it would be definitely being a mess.

First and foremost, let's talk about how escape rooms were arranged. There were 6 teams that comprise of 10 people each. In the activity, they would compete with each other in order to solve the puzzle so that they could exit the room. While this type of set up does not typically occur in the escape room, it's something that we see in companies or organizations. Having numerous teams in a certain company is a typical scenario. Having 10 people in one team is not common. And unfortunately, sometimes these times do their jobs at cross purposes or they compete for the budget bucks. Here are some of the takeaways.

1.Everybody should understand the main objective - the players must be motivated enough to accomplish their goals. Yes, this is just a game. But in every game, there's a particular goal that you should be able to achieve. It is highly evident that several groups did not know what escape room is, how it operates, and what they would get if they participate.

2.The group should assign a leader - it may sound fantastic that each group needs a leader. There should be a person who will lead the team. This is one way to ensure that everybody can voice out their ideas.

3.Each member of the team should get similar communication - before starting the game, every member of the group will be asked to grab a puzzle and then disperse. The leader did not halt them. That means that the members are doing their own tasks. The members were not able to help one another simply because they did not have similar information. 4.Being organized is an asset - in regards to solving problems, being organized is an advantage. It is already mentioned that the clues are scattered around the place. If there's no sense of order, the group won't be able to solve the puzzle.

5.Problem solving skills - the team should be able to determine red herrings. One of the smartest features of the escape room was the presence of the false clues or red herring. It is vital for the team to know which one is not true so that they won't waste their time and efforts in solving the main problem. Read more here...

6.The group activities must be debriefed - the best component of this game was the dissemination of information. So, in order to solve a common problem, there must be proper communication with tremendous teamwork. Take note that teamwork divides the effort and multiplies the effect. Enjoy the game!
